nForce 2 audio crashes?

I noticed a couple other threads of people with the nForce 2 chipset having problems, but no real solutions were posted.

I have an stock set system build following.
Athlon 3200xp, 2GB Mem, 256mb 7800gs,
Abit NF7-S2, Antech Trueblue 480 PSU

I have both used memtest and prime to stress test my cpu and memory while monitoring heat. And have no errors. I have also tried the latest drivers and ones that came with my mobo. Yet I seem to be getting some sort of error, with my drivers.

The error message usually says something about my audio drivers. I am using the on board sound. I have also disabled the sound all together but I still crash.

I have also did a fresh install of both xp and ryzom and still crash. I have nothing installed on my computer besides the bare utilities it needs. I close down all the programs and processes I can as well and still no help.

Here is the error report from event viewer.

Any help appreciated.

Try turning your sound off. Troubleshoot by playing a bit with the sound off then in eax on and off modes. If you get a crash, look at the ryzom generated logs for more info. They can give us a clue as to what exactly is causing your problem.

Where are the logs?

And like I said I have played with no sound, I have even played with the sound disabled in device manager.

This info is helpful because shows you are running under OpenGL which may also be contributing to your issue. Changing to direct3d will help stabilize the client and make the crash logs a bit more helpful. From the Ryzom configuration program: Select 'Display' and then 'Direct3d' and click the 'apply' button. You may get prompted to switch to 'OpenGL' mode whenever you launch the game so say 'no'

In the future, please include about 10 lines prior to the client information to give an insight as to what files and processes were involved prior to the crash.

Still crashing but I have noticed I only crash in certain areas. I can stay in the desert for days as soon as I get in a forest I start crashing.

I'm using nforce sound drivers as well, same issue. Sound on, off, eax on or off, no difference.

the bug report is pointing toward sound driver, why does everyone say switch graphics settings?
