Yay a new client patch !

Well, fixes sounds good, and this one for me :
Ammo damage has been readjusted
In fact, power of any ammos were reduced about 30-40 damages. I was able to do 109 damages with q40 ammos, now only 59.
A minor bug of me ? nope : NPC bullets and ammos do the same.
And it's even worser with pistols.

So people I warn you : forget range leveling !!!! before it was expensive, now this is just a waste of money :(

What weapon was that with? I was getting 88/shot with a qual 50 Maka pistol and qual 50 ammo made from NPC mats (my ranged skill is 44). I'll have to see what is happening tonight - but the original problem was lowered hits with ammo made from DMG mats (when it should have been increased).

Also, what ranged skill do you have and qual weapon were you using? Ranged weapons suffer from a "double whammy" effect in matching quality of both weapon and ammo to user skill (which is why we get such extreme experiences from different people).

One of these days I'll get round to writing a "Guns 101" thread once the situation has stabilised a bit.

The same thing as the original poster was posted on the french forums; before the patch weapons would do damage in the hundreds, now the same weapon using the same ammo does damage in the fifties... only way to get back to the old damage is using full +damage crafted ammos.

Nice to see a GM post a reply, but frankly u find it a rnomal situation ??? having to rely on hard to find/ harvested materials to get half or a quarter of what a melee will get ? and with no stanza to use with... no openings (why cant i get an extra attack when i dodge ? ...i dont see why. Same with criticals or feint.)

Now, like i would have said on some other game forum, could u please share a bit of your "Vision" ? cause atm i dont know where u go with range fighter. Nowhere i think, but i am perhaps blind.

Anyway, u nerfed the range class to a point where not even the harvester/crafter like me can decently keep doing it.

Congratulation, in patch 12, u better remove all range concerning skills !

I'm using q40 pierce ammo with a matis rifle q60. I'm lvl52 range.

I craft ammos with NPC mats (because a whole harvester guild will not be enough to bring me goods mats :D )
And, so far, those mats makes almost the best ammos... or you have to use q70+ fine mats (from mobs) and make q40 bullets able to do the same damage (what a waste!!)

So, jaggarot you point it out : the ammo damage fix of this patch may resolve the issue of user-made ammo from fine+ mats specs.

Mmh, well, thinking further, with this new "unexpected balance fix", you can no more be a solo fighter with range weps. But in teamplay, it's possible to improve your skills, ...btw you'll be the most useless teammate!!

Only had a few mins to look server coming down for restart...

Baying gingos are easier, less hps, less armour, easier to hit at 65 melee. However i could not defeat one of the three that attacked me. but balance is good imo.

Izams have armour. Prime was taking about 20% off my increased damage 5, pike q50 damage 146.

wary Renders much easier, no armour. Was getting max damage.

wary Armas have more armour, was taking 30% off roughly.. 80 done (146)

Creeping Frahar seem to be about the same.

harvest xp is still as crap as it ever was. pure grind. harvest still needs alot of work imo tho, explosions occur too rapidly.. cant stop harvest before they occur sometimes. and double/triple explosions kill the hardest harvesters.

Never noticed any kind of lag, in combat or running or in towns. So thats all good. all good so far as i can see atm.

I'm not going to complain mobs are too easy.. but some still need balanced to being harder. Or they need to do more damage to counter their lack of armour/hps.

Also previously i used to craft 24 shot cartriges now there just 12 I assume the same as the other 3 races seems totaly pointless now.

NPCs with pistols are still like snipers though with ranges up to 300m.

FIX THAT BUG.

Pistol clips hold 24 rifle clips hold 12 allways has been.
Just made it over to fyros first place i have realy come accross NPC's with pistols that are hostile and yep is rather annoying to be hit by a pistol that has more range then you graphics detail clip range (esp when my pistols on go up to 26m). ahh well I am very happy as a ranged crafter that there is 1 bug less and we can expect after the ajour bugs are sorted that some balancing will be done.

Ammo clip volume depends on which race you are.

Fyros have better Rifle clips Tryker have better pistol clips (24 instead of 12) and I believe Zorai have better BowRifle clips.

Easch race has its specialist wepaon which they make better.
