I have just reached lvl 50 in magic (lvl 50 in every thing else too).

I now have access to magic skills bomb, ricochet and rain. But honnestly don't know which one to get. Just by their description, it doesn't tell me much other then it has a max of 2 MOB/ennemies.

So can someone write down the plus and minus of bomb, ricochet and rain ? I do not want something like this one is the best. I want what are they good for and bad for and for which situations.

When I asked in the chat, I only got one answer : everyone picks bomb at first. But I do not want to go jump in the lake just because everyone is doing it (like leaming season!). I need to understand first then make a choice.

This thread will benefit everyone about reaching lvl 50 in magic.

first: it's spray and not rain. if you want help, use the game terms !!

bomb is most useful. in magic, it affects every target with same strength. dont know the exact formula, but the effect is small compared to direct damage/heal, but still useful for group (especially stam/sap heals). as much i know, it's best to select right bomb stanza for group (if you have 4 targets to heal, use bomb with 4 targets, etc)

ricochet, last i checked it was bugged (damage spell tried to affect friends, etc), so not that useful.

spray does full damage for all targets (# depends on spray level), but targets needs to be "lined" up right (cone shaped area behind your target is affected). so, useful, but hard to use.

p.s. I kinda like spray for those double plants. easy to line em up...

I used to use spray all the time in OP battles. Target the front lines and you're pretty much guaranteed to get your max targets.

For healing and PvE I always used bomb tho.

really browser, the best way to understand something is to try it yourself don't ask everyone to tell you things because i'd say a good 80-90% of the junk we'll spew out is opinion!

give them all a shot and you'll be able to see for yourself
