Ryzom

howdie folks,

I got pointed toward Ryzom by a friend, and I've got to say it looks mighty intriguing. Having played WoW for too long, I've been grinding too much. Having played A Tale in the Desert before that, I've crafted too deeply. Ryzom seems a nice halfway house between the two. And the Ring thing looks awsome fun, player made content ftw.

So, I've embarked on the download, but here's the rub. As with all things real life-ish, i've found this game the day before going away for 4 days... so having got mildly exited, I'm gonna have to be patient.

But, just to tease me that bit more, and to learn some random facts about the game, I would be really greatful if people could drop me some short replies with why I SHOULD play this game as soon as I can.

*doffs cap and whatnot*

I'm actually quite looking forward to a 'hard' game now, where everything isn't laid out for you in a sequence of events, where the game isn't a one-way street, most refreshing. One thing that annoys me about many MMO's is how much the Devs pander to the players, bending over to keep the whiners happy, taking away some of the challenge and difficulty of the game.
