Hello, i'm new, i just wondered if these are aquireable/allowed?

I'm used to playing WoW and SW:G where mods were allowed and only client side.

And help is appreciated :)

p.s reason being is i dislike the ui (especially the group health etc)

It's not encouraged, and you'll lose official customer support for any custom client side changes you make and you'll be asked to reinstall if you ever want it sometime. =)

Yeah i would suspect its not recommended, always is, in the case of SWG its not recommended but most people do because it makes them injoy their gameplay alot more. My question is (not to sound rude) but do they exist and where could i get them? Sorry if that puts people in difficult positions of bans etc, if so then its fine :)

In fact I think people have been banned for "modding" their clients (there was a pic or vid of someone using a kitin as mount quite some time ago). But then, who knows what else they "modded"...
And what would you count as "addons"? Makro recorders are a definite no-no, as are other third party programs. Maybe it's time to read that old EULA again ;)
EULA wrote:14. RULES OF BEHAVIOR.
You acknowledge that the proper functioning and success of an On-line Role-playing Game such as Ryzom and/or Ryzom Ring depends on a delicate balance which Gameforge France has to maintain. The User is therefore strictly forbidden: (a) to use any program or method to change the content or functionalities of the Game

nono, not "Mods" like that, addons such as ones that would chance the game interface for example...they would be client side ofc so no-one would notice and most games accept them. I'v askd around and it seems none exist,...ah well :)

about the closest I have seen to those was TeamSpeak Overlay which just displayed who was speaking on TS, on your in game window. Not really a Ryzom addon so much as a TS one.
It caused crashes on exiting, and was a bit tricky to get started if I remember correctly.
Stopped using it when I stopped using Teamspeak. No idea how well if at all, it would work these days.

You can edit the in-scene view, and also create macros (using the ingame options)

I have my display setup to display "friendly" health, sap and stamina, and have macros to target teammembers by position, and friends I play with regularly (favourite enemies are also good macro targets :D )

Nope, none exist up untill today.
Thats mostly because theire not necessary.
You can customize your UI tight in the game.
You can make windows bigger, small, translucent, change colors, change what they´ll show you, change their place on screen etc.

Just try the good old rightclick and/or hold & drag. ;)

I´ve seen so many different UI settings in Screenshots over the years I´m sure wou will find a setting to your liking.
