Times of War

Fellow Homins. I am a full blooded Homin. My father was a lake man from Tryker, my mother a peaceful women spending time in the forests of Matis.
As a babe I was taken from my homeland of Atys by my mother. She feared for my life with the constant battles against the Kitins and the wars between the Kami and Karavan that are stripping Atys of its magic and soul. My father stayed on to battle and sadly I have never heard from him since.
From old scripts and lore passed on by my mother I discovered fragments of information about my homeland and indeed the problems bewteen two major entities - the Kami and the Karavan.
From studying I have come to 3 conclusions that will bring peace to a war torn land:
1)Utter and complete destruction of the Kami
2)Utter and complete destruction of the Karavan
3)A neautrality and balance of harmony where the two entities can co-exist.
My conceptions of these three alternatives is that one thing remains predominant in my mind and that is - the only way to find peace is sadly through war.
I have prepared for such a thing for many a year. I knew once I came of age I could leave my foreign land and return to where I belong - and maybe, just maybe, find my father. He exists in my mind as a great warrior - I hold to it that he fights for justice and peace.
Alas, I have come of age and left for the lands of Atys. A pilgrimage frought with dangers. Upon visiting Silan - my firsts steps to Atys I encountered many new and foreign peoples and hidious and dangerous creatures. Learning several crafts over a short time period I spoke to someone who spoke about the home of Atys - the mainland. He spoke of the wonderous forests of Matis, the burning desterts of Fyros, the never ending Jungles of the Zorias and of course - the peaceful lake folk of Tryker. He also whispered of other lands within Atys - deep, dark, hidden and full of dangers.
Instantly my heart pounded and I became aware that this was it - this was the moment I have awaited all my life - I will finaly be going home, to a world unkown to me.
I have always held and believed in a code - three elements of a person to be the most important - Honour, Courage and Loyalty. Whatever path I choose to walk - whether it be Kami, Karavan or a stance of neutrality - I will walk that path with this code. And know this, any who call me friend, I will walk into the very fires of Jena with them - until the very end.
I look forward to forging very strong friendships throughout Atys - for this is the promised land - this is My land. And with my new found friendships we will create stories and histories which in turn, will become legends of Atys.
