Quite a few times, I don't recall how, I get in a situation where I have accidently done an action by mistake and in trying to cancel this, I see nothing has changed. I then realized that I was typing in the Chat window (things like "eeeedddeededddssaa" or whatever). So I am in a rush and what to get rid of this chat as quickly as possible. Typing the X key doesn't work since I am in Text edit mode. I don't recall exactly as I am in the office, but I think there are no 'X' icon to close it ?

How do you close it in one shut even if there is text typed in it ?


I was in a combat quest with a team to kill bandits, I was supposed to kill the main Bad guy when all of a sudden, before the whole group arrived, I accidently clicked on the bad guy, so my char went toward him, I tried to move away, stear away but before I realized I was accidently typing my movement keys in the cat, I was at him and geting pounded on. So I eventualy died and my team did the work but, shamly, without me.

Hit the ESCAPE key and you will exit out of text editing mode. What you typed is still in the chat window waiting to be edited or sent, but you can get back to using all your controls immediately.

Its funny at OP's whan you look in the chat bar and see someone typing something like 111112222111122221111wtf????

Clicking on the screen with ya mouse works.

also nice to use the arrow keys - i don't have that problem! (except for the "777777777777777777777777777damnit i'm stuned!" ... "... er nvm >.> " )
