The current method of group experience distribution is the simplest formula I think possible.
Highest active level in the group is weighed against the monster to give a certain exp. That number is divided by the number of group members. Then the total is truncated down to 3k if needed. So basically if you have a six member group you need to kill something thats like 30-40 levels higher than the top member for everyone to get 3k. I havent tried to figure out the experience formula yet cause it would require me to take notes. By active level I mean whatever was used during battle....if you don't know what that means then....think about it?

It's pretty darn good once you realise the complications getting it to its current state ;)

amitst is right, but there is also a bonus depending on the number of members in the team. Something like +20% with two members and about another +10% per member after that (I think). It was posted on the old version of these boards, in the deep dark ages of Focus Beta, but I don't think its mentioned anywhere now.
