New to Ryzom, have a few questions.

I've looked all over the interweb in an attempt to find answers to these questions for myself, but had no luck, so I will ask them here.
Is there a level cap? Or is it possible to max out every skill tree?
What is the "end game" for Ryzom?
That's all for now!

You start with 4 main skill trees, which branch out to more specialized skills as you advance in them. The max level for each of these skills is 250.
There is no end game here just our continuing struggle to retake our beautiful Atys back from the Goo and the ever present Kitin hordes.

Well, thank you for your answers, even though it was not quite what I was hoping to hear.

What kind of endgame are you meaning? if its 'raiding' or something along those lines then no, if its PvP and Outpost wars, crafting, adventuring etc then yes.
Ryzom is very open, you and the people around you are what make it come to life. If your worried your going to have nothing to do in your later life then dont be worried at all as theres enough to keep to you busy, and always new things on the horizon

I'm a bit more put off by the idea that everyone can max out every skill. It means the only difference between one character and the next is the appearance chosen at the start of the game.
Having no raiding is kind of meh, but I can do without that, as long as there is something to do.
I'm going to give it a shot anyway, even though I don't like what you've told me. The only thing I can end up wasting is time. Besides, maybe I will enjoy it.

Hm, perhaps this should be clarified a bit.
In theory everyone can max all skills, but thus far no one is anywhere even close. The skill system starts with 4 branches, they branch out to other branches at lvl 20 all of those, then branch at 50, all of those branch at 150, all of those branch at 200, and all of those go to 250. Overall this gives you some huge number (in the many thousands) of levels to be gained
Check
http://ballisticmystix.net/bm/skillTree.php for the whole skill tree - it shows we have 10725 skills to gain (if my maths is right
)

Not true.
It's
possible to max out all skills, but its never been done. There are too many for one person to do them all.
Every character is unique not only by which skills they choose to level, but also how they set up their actions. Even the skills you learn from the trainer are customized as you see fit with the stanza system.
I think you'll like it here
Edit: Beaten by the Spriteh...

I want to complete all the skill lvls, however at my rate this will only take me 8 possibly 10 years.
I am having way too much fun, teaming up with my guild to really worry about lvling.
