Ok it pathed to 36%, then I started getting:

"there has been an error downloading one of the Ryzom installation files. Please make sure that you have sufficeint disk space and that your internet connection is opperating correctly"

Well i have enough space and my connection is working, so whats preventing me from patching and how can I fix it??? I already re-downlaoded after uninstalling, still nothing.

Vista users may experience issues such as this if their ryzom install doesn't have sufficient user privileges. If you are running Vista, put the installer in your My Programs folder, in your Documents. Otherwise the Operating System will give you some nasty errors such as the one you mentioned.

I think you should run the installer with full Administrator rights (right click, run as admin).

As Kaetemi said above, also make sure you place the initial installer in the "My Programs" folder, in your Documents, and not just in your Documents. ;)

Good luck!

by default, there is no "My Programs" under Documents or anywhere under User directory.

on subject:
maybe there is something interesting in log file ? client_background_downloader.log (or log.log)

The other option is to just browse to the directory above your Ryzom directory, right-click on the Ryzom directory, go to the security tab, and change/add rights for Users (or just yourself) and set your permissions to Full Control..

The thing is -> Virtualisation.
When you run a program in user-mode (not as Administrator), anything written to the Program Files folder, is written in another directory which is virtualised over the Program Files folder only when you are logged in. This means that if you install something without Administrator rights, it will look as if it's installed in the Program Files folder, but it's actually in your own files.
This results in problems with patching... When you run the patcher, it tries to modify the files in the Program Files folder as a user. The patcher can read the file without problems, and modify it into a new one without problems, but (as far as i know) it tries to delete the old version before replacing it with the new version of the file. And since the old version is in the real Program Files, it can't be deleted, so it fails there too.

Which is kinda how I do it, give full control to myself over the Ryzom directory :)
(Only set permissions to Full Control for your own user, though. Not for the 'Everyone' user.)
