The ceremony of merging

Greetings all.
Yeah... I know Im not an old member of Arispotle community, perhabs it shouldnt be me suggesting this... But dont you think the upcomming server merger calls for us - the Arispotle community - to help set up
something like this?
I wasnt around at the time of the merging of the windermeer server, and perhabs the times has changed since then... But still, it would be a really nice gesture towards the players arriving from Cho.
Just a thought...

I think it would be a beautiful idea, but i think that we would need to know when the merge is going to happen, no point planning it for next friday if the merge is this monday.
If this idea does evolve, count me in for anything you may need help for.

Truly an awesome and heartwarming idea. If possible lets formalize the ceremony plans quickly so we can get the word out to he entire server's population. Details on how the merge may function will help. Will Cho players just be spawned in the cities where they currently reside or in one central locale? Many Cho players may not be online for a day or two after the merge so, it might be wise to hold the ceremony a fewdays after the merge so as many as can will be able to attend to recieve our warmest welcome.

It makes sense to wait a few days... another "event" in the middle of a workday/workweek would not be as inclusive. A good GMT/EST time on the weekend would be the best as well as give them folks time to get moved and settled in.

With the announced server merge being may 2nd, perhabs saturday 5th or saturday 12th would be good dates for most people.
Unfortunately I wont personally be able to play next weekend, and probably not the next either. What Im trying to say is that someone else than me better take responsibility for this
. Perhabs our friendly event team could lend a hand as well?
