can you later delete a custom action (ie an action that becomes less desirable after developing other skills) and receive the credits back so as to apply them to another action?? sry in advance if this is very noobish question.

You can delete any action you have created.

With credits. they are (essentially) infinet. if you have credit set for one action, you can make a new action with the same credit. Credits arnt taken from one big pool. they are used 'per action'. so you can make 50 actions using the same option and credit and not lose anthing (other than space in your hands bar) I hope this makes sense?

I have a bit more information to add to what Anatti said on our site.

Editing Stanza's - Once you learn the modular action system you will never use new skills without having first tweaked them :P

If your asking about getting back Skill Points for the old skill stanza no longer needed, no you cannot. Once skill points are spent they are gone. However, Ryzom has no limits on the number of skill points you can acquire by advancing in levels. After awhile you'll find yourself with an abundance of SP in all the four categories. Just takes time and patience to get there.

And don´t forget that it´s not necessary to get your SP back or to "reroll" your charakter, if you´ve bulit a "wrong" custom action. They aren´t set in stone, you can change and reconfigure every action in game as you like and as long as you can "pay" for it with its fitting credits ;)

Sounds crazy, but so it is. :p
