New to Ryzom

Hi all,
I just made the big step into Ryzom after all these years of dabbling in it and hit the mainland and I will say I am very pleasently surprised. It definately looks like Ryzom is a game that is based on the idea of community first, something MMOs have moved away from the last few years. After playing LotR recently I have pretty much given up hope on any new MMO releases. MMOs keep evolving into single player games with lots of people in them, not to mention the quality of communities couldn't get much worse. (as anyone who ever played WoW or GW could tell you)
As a noob here I am pretty much like the eager puppy and have lots of questions about the game but the excellent community ingame can answer those...I have a few large scope things I would like to ask about here.
*Ok, this game was recently purchased by another company...how's that going? What does the long term look like for this game. I realize its only just happened within the last few months and gameforge is probably still formulating things but what are the overall thoughts? I am hoping they take the ball and run with it..
*Which leads into my next item. What sort of things were or are planned for future developement? specifically
- housing? From what I understand there IS housing but you can not decorate or add things to it? Is this correct? Its cool to have housing but what exactly can you do with it?
- RP skills like an entertainer? That would be nice. Now I've no SWG "refugee", I never really liked that game in any form but I always loved the idea of the entertainer. It would seem that Ryzom would lend itself very well to that.
- I really liked that thread here about the past developement notes/ideas...how likely is it that we will ever see another world?
-Observation ...Its a bit grindy so far. I can grind with the best of them, I'm a one year vet of Lineage II (believe it or now, a great community based game within its context), but I am very sensitive to it since that game lol. A side thing like entertainer would fit this very well. Crafting is cool, digging is fine but all work and no play......you know what they say about that.
Oh, and one technical question....
In game music. Ok, I hear it at log in and it played fine on the stater island but once I hit the mainland there isn't really any music, aside from that quest alert when you complete one. Whats the deal with that? I see there is an MP3 player, do I need to load something manually? There are no files in it. Its a minor thing but I hate to bother anyone ingame about it but I notice that sort of thing and it bugs me because I know its in there.
All in all, this game is a breath of fresh air. I just hope the future of it is one that moves forward and not one of stagnation. That would probably kill the game off like so many other smaller titles.
