First there is the obvious adrenalin rush of facing another player...there is no AI coding able to match the unpredictable nature of a living opponent.
Sucess in this arena builds personal reputation, as this grows it brings challengers to the fore.....each new victory brings prestige and recognition amongst ones peers.
This is no easy trek for those to undertake....it takes commitment, knowledge, advertising..and above all, Dedication.
Of course the problems are never far away........
If you believe obtaining the title "PvP champion" is difficult, retaining it is nigh on impossible.
Having achieved this PvP title it now becomes A personal quest to take the fight to the forum, to convince the game creators to recognise your achievement and place a reward in your hands...maybe a shiny PvP cloak/a nice title/access to unlocked areas..or a combination of all three.
And the forum is now the perfect opportunity to advertise the title and demand all bow before the mighty (insert name here) PvP champion.
I refer to this as the grey area where game/life loses its distinct boundaries...(before the internet these folk could be seen wandering the streets wearing "THE END IS NIGH" chalkboards.)
Then there is the constant challenger who reminds you that you are one fight away from obscurity......could a sane person seriously consider their online character to be a representation of their RL prowess ?

Of course there are still folk actually INGAME that refuse to recognise the PvP Champion....(some lame excuse about immersion breaking is offered when confronted by the said champion)

Anyway I diverse...where was I ?....ah yes...
The darn RP crowd who take so much of the game space....can't they be made to PvP ?, Then they will not be in the way...we can then call them targets and everyone gets the full game experience again ???

And lets get rid of this stupid pointless gathering of the resources..what's that about ??..learn the seasons, find the mats, get skilled up..what a waste of time and effort that should be used to improve PvP macro's......erm...stanza's

Anyway, I thought It would be nice if we could all get along and do things the PvP way..like we did in all the other games Mr PvP left before arriving in Ryzom.
Anybody agree ?
