Points to line: NeL3D: No driver. You should be seeing your driver files there.
Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the nvida drivers.

Groovy, I think it was def. my old cruddy PC messing up. (Why's the wife gotta have the good one? :) ) Anyway, a nice reformat and re-driverin' everything might take care of it. Will let you know! If me and the wife can't play together, I'll be very sad.
Thanks again!

Ok so I re-formatted my hard drive, re-installed WIn 2k. Everything runing normally, but everytime I download the installer I get this:

http://beauturkey.com/ryzom/ryzomerror.bmp

...so now I'm downloading one from fileplanet, a "free trial" , and I'm hoping that maybe that will do it.
I'm no expert, but I have been "tweaking" and "troubleshooting" PC's for years, and I know that sometimes two versionsof the same OS can get installed when a clean wipe isn't done right.
I don't know, I had this happen before, I had two versions of this OS installed, and had to wipe it out a few times before finally, I had one solid, working system.
Any ideas? Please help. Without this old cruddy PC I ain't playing my game!! :(

Annnnd I still cant get it to work. If this is all because of a bogus downloader, I'll blow up. Literally.
I am trying to stay calm. :)
I have done everything I can think of.
I wouldn't put it past my bogus PC. NOW I have TWO named main drives, whereas usualyl I always had drive C, now I have drive C, a small one, like 2 gigs, and drive E, which is the max of my hard drive.
I hate Windows and I hate PC's. Macs are so much more reliable. Oh god. I'm cracking up.
I'm going to check some other game downloads and see if it's just this one.
Beau

PS: Does ANYONE ever read these? lol

Hi there i noticed in your post you state that you have 2 drives (C: and E: )
can i just check with you that you have placed the installer into the drive you wish to install from? the most common case here would be that the installer has been downloaded to the desktop (C: ) and run from there to setup on the larger drive (E: )

if this is the case please uninstall everything, remove the instalation folder on E:, Move the installer to E: and install from there.

Hmm yeh I have done all this, let me try again.
I know computers pretty well, but I wouldn't mind a hint as to where I would put the installer in the E drive to make sure it runs from the E desktop? I hope that makes sense.
When I download the installer from Ryzoms website, it says it's saving to the E drive, I went to firefox's settings and made sure it wasputting all downloaded files into E.
Hmmm...working on it..

Heya, any location within the E drive should be adequate for your save file. You may want to stay out of any system files. Making its own directory is recommended, it will keep things organized.

Well, it still doesn't work.
I have a new hard drive, it is completely blank. I loaded my copy of Windows 2k on it, got everything else to work fine, just like it did before I changed out the hard drive, have 80 gigs of space on it, nothing on it, no Firewall, no virus scanner...(the junk im getting on this PC is mind boggling im SURE lol )
..so I get the downloader, it saves to my C drive, loads, gets a ways into the download and has the SAME error message, the one talking bout disk space.
I am running out of options. I am thinking it might be the win 2k? I have no idea at this point what to do, let me post my specs for this PC: (dont laugh its my older one but I had playing Ryzom on it for months)
1.3 Ghz pentium processor
Nvidia 5700 Ultra graphics
2 Gigs Ram
Cable COnnection
Audigy 1 Sound card
uhm..cant think of what else to put...
