Welcome dookie!

The community is one of the best, if not the best so no worries there. You'll receive all the advice and help you could need I'm sure. As for PvM, player vs mobs I'm guessing? (we call it PvE (Environment) around here) Well, it's pretty simple really, the continents are made up of multipul regions of different level. They are colour and star coded/rated, and you just try and find something to bash thats around your level.
Right click on the target window once you get in game for a nice little explanation and table graphic.

Good luck, catch you in game maybe. =)

Welcome I'm also a player from many mmorpg's including Anarchy Online. I had that feel also to me witch I like. Was a little slow been use to games like WoW but after many hours I'm getting use to it.

Things I did was find fighter magic then crafter and gather person and started quests and training my skills up. I really would not touch any other mobs for now then the suckling yubos the rest are hard to kill.

If your on the same server look me up!

The realistic AI is in terms of Animal behaviour, like predators hunting herbivores (and sometimes you) in packs, Animals migrating with the seasons, ressources changing with the seasons and so forth...
I think it´s not harder to fight, it´s just more realtistic to look at, than a MOB who walks left - right, right - left, left - right, right - left, ad invernitum....

Once you get to the Mainland you´ll see ;)
Silan is a bit to small to realy show this.

Enjoy

hehe, yeah, as Acridiel explained the AI is quite complex and deep. There are predators, and herbivores. The predators don't just attack you, they can attack other AI herbivores just like the real world. They can even chain attacks and while they might be busy eating some poor thing as you walk by, it'll still remember you and come after you once it's finished if your still close.
Some mobs are social, meaning if they're close together they'll attack in packs. Theres even some mixed-species social networks, extra friendly mobs which help out others.

I could go on, and yes it sometimes is harder, but thats what makes it exciting and interesting. You have to use your brain. =)

Aye, I agree with Ajsuk and Acridiel too. Atys (the mainland that is) is not to be taken lightly no matter what your level.
What has intrigued me the most about the game is that no matter how high your skill level may be you are still as likely to die as anyone else in certain situations. I seriously believe the Devs did whatever was necessary to eliminate the concept of an "Uber-Player" and used the more likely model of higher levels grouping together for assured survivability in almost all situations.
Either way, welcome to Atys and keep those questions coming!
