RP/Storytelling contest feeler

I am thinking of putting on an RP/short story-telling contest (and I really mean the "short" in short story) on Cho RoS. How should I best go about seeing how many people are interested? A poll?
If it were only RP I would just announce it and take whomever showed up. But the writing component is important (think poetry-slam without the poetry requirement) and I don't have a good enough feel for the interest in the community. I posted here because there may be folks who like to storytell but don't necessarily RP.

thanks,

Calevin

Polls are NOT the BEST way to judge things, you will find many of the decent story writers/RP'ers stay away from the (general) forum.

Coming from sum1 who knows a bit about hostsing events - Plan it out, have a set time and try your best to stick to it.

/tell everyone you know to pass it on to people they know, get peple who are interested to come talk to you. Thats the best judge of things.

Also, why Cho RoS ??

So that Aris folks can come if they want and because it's where my character Grendal can make fabulous prizes for the winners :P
