Ryzom Development

Recently there was a post about news not being updated on the Ryzom homepage, but it isnt only the news which hasn't been updated, the development section of the site hasnt been updated either, looking at the timeline we are still on the Ring release which happened months ago.
A prospective new player could look at the site and easily confuse ryzom for a stagment dying game with no updated information.
Personaly I have been looking foward to the Kittin Lair, Nevrax built some hype around it and from what we where lead to believe it wasnt far from release. Can we please have some updates, not only on Kittin's Lair but the entire website as a whole.

Production : Some news from production by Marjo
Hello! Today I bring news from the production line.
At the moment, the main focus of our Test Team is to ensure that the new Ryzom installation system that was in development is now working as intended. At the same time, the Level Designers are brewing new missions which are emerging from the shadows. Regarding Range Combat, improvement ideas have been set into motion and are currently being developed. This now allows us to look at one-handed weapons to make changes where needed.
Feel free to discuss these points in the dedicated feedback threads.

Patch : Server Side Patch Today by Marjo
Today Monday we will close the servers from 10 am to 11 am GMT for a server side patch.
It's a small but important patch: it will correct the known stuck positions and save the 2 stars boss mobs respawn time. They won't repop after a reboot anymore.

With news posted as recently as the
22nd of February I'm feeling pretty happy that development is ongoing. I don't remember development news for any of the other MMOs I've played being posted very often and anyway for me no news is better then NGE type news

Ryzom won't be put on a shelf!
Right now nothing has changed since my IRC interview a while back.
The biggest project that will shortly be released is a new installer and a smaller client for the Ruins of Silan. As you know it already, the next new things to come are the range combat and 1H melee skills revamp, along with low level missions. We also started to create new looks for melee weapons in order to prepare rewards for future missions on the long term (that wouldn't be harming the crafting balance).
We are interested not in short term profits but long lasting success. The problem right now is really that you don't see anything happening, I know this is frustrating. But I assure you, the people here are not slacking around but working hard to improve Ryzom.

So, maybe im getting this wrong, these new looks will be for mission rewards and not actual mission reward crafting plans? I.E. make my weapon look dull against the new reward one?

Perhaps some dev screenshots when the look is ready? (Even if it changes before going live its a good teaser).
