Where is the fun ?

Well ok, there was some fun, on newbie island. There it was easy to get to most places, the lvl range of the enemies was just perfect, the lvls came at a decent pace. Then i went to the mainland. So far, of my 7-8 hours on mainland ive managed to get a total of 0,2 level (from 30,8 to 31 in fighting) and amassed a total of, well i dont know the exact amount of DP but ive died ~30 times. 1-2 times on each mob ive tried to kill but found out i stand NO chance against, a few times due to lagging and running into a pack of mobs i stand no chance against, a few times dying because i cant enter the water because some dev decided that if there was a "cliff" on the edge towards the water thats 1 cm high you cant enter water there (and yes, ive "disengaged" from the mobs following me at the time)
Of all the enemies ive met ive either gotten about 100-150 xp, which is even less a % of a lvl up then you would be getting if you were playing Lineage2, or ive gotten a ok amount (900) from the TWO mobs ive found of that particular type, or ive been killed in just a few hits.
Yes this is certainly my idea of fun !
The reason i quit L2 after a few days was because it felt like a part time job i had to pay to do, and Ryzom is starting to feel the same. Theres no teaming going on and the one time i was in a party we both discovered how pointless it was, progress was much faster solo. And whats the point in a mmorpg if you solo ? might as well play a singleplayer game...
Oh and i cant get a guild either for some actual socializing and teaming because of the "its near impossible to get to tryker-land" concept...
