Concentrate Magic Stanza

Can anyone tell me when this stanza would be most useful. I used to think it prevented Mob's, who got in close range to the castor, from interrupting a cast but now after testing i don't think so. My latest thought is that is helps sustain the magic link created when you cast an Offensive or Defensive Affliction spell such as Madness or Stun. But I'm not sure and can't find a definitive answer. Could someone enlighten me please. Thanks in advance.

As far as i know it helps against ur own failures/interupts... not inflicted by mobs, but when u cast urself.... could be wrong tho.

it specifically works by raising your effective lvl vs the mobs in the interupt chance. The interupt being a lvl vs lvl thing.

People attribute many powers to concentrate, but there's no way to tell for sure. Unless you've casted 1000 times with it and without it on different levels mobs and recorded all the data in a spreadsheet, its just a theory ;)

I'm of the belief that it does absolutely nothing but decrease the chance a physical attack (melee or ranged) will interrupt your cast - no change in chance of the target resisting after.

Link once told me the secret of concentration, but I don't remember what it was - I was distracted at the time. He always had that effect on me.

Thank you all for your answers. I read the old posts that someone kindly linked to and it appears that there is no definitive answer. Which in my opinion is not a good thing. Shouldn't it be clear what a spell effects are? Or perhaps that's just part of the mystery of the game. Never the less it would be nice if this were clarified sometime. My assumption right now is that it helps maintaing the link you establish when casting an affliction spell. We'll see. Tx again
