Ryzom

Greetings friends,

I was wondering if there would be any interest in having another Gameforge IRC chat or whatnot with the Ryzom community. Phelan expressed interest in doing so a month ago during the break away from Jolt, but since then Gameforge has been pretty mum on things.

I don't think any of us want to just have empty promises thrown at us to tide us over which was par with how Nevrax used to handle announcing future plans, but it has been pretty quiet since the first of the month and there hasn't been many visible changes at least to ryzom, or the website, so I'm just curious what you fellas have been doing in the past month, and if any plans have changed.

For me, even a monthly-bi/monthly "state of the game" announcement would suffice, if only to help the community get back to some sort of sense of regularity with the game, as well as to assure us that the gears are in fact still turning behind the scenes.

Yes indeed that would more then great. I've been watching the front page every morning hoping for a little bit of news, this game for me is competing with another one that's about to come out, so I'd love to have a bigger picture in my head of what to be looking forwards to..

We need something to make the hours of grind worthwhile, we have to be working towards something i guess

GF has been way to quiet imho, only the fact that we the players need to ask again about information makes me feeling sad and doesnt improve my overal feeling for the way they manage this game so far.

Sounds like a plan.

Personally I'd prefer a "state of the game" letter/announcement/whatever, possibly in response to player-submitted questions, to a lynching in IRC but both have their pluses

(Personally I think the 2 or 3 weeks since the last IRC chat is a bit too soon to expect the kind of concrete "omg we've done so much" statements that some people seem to want to hear, but maybe some intentions or ideas of what they're looking into would be nice)

Well I really just want to know how things are progressing, I'm not expecting an earth shattering in game update so soon, but some info on what they are working on at this momment would be lovely.

Like those dev screenshots, an outline of those 'missions' they were going to add to newbies zones and ect.. It was great of Phelan to answer the community grilling , but we haven't heard a peep since.

Yeah, I don't really care what form but some kind of feedback from some channel would be well received. =)

As with the others I've been keeping an eye on news topics or changes to the dev section but nothings happened for quite some time now.
