Game Freezing as Soon as I login

I can patch and start up Ryzom just fine. Once it loads and I enter the world I can move around usually for about 5 minutes or less then the screen freezes and I can't do anything besides close the client via the task manager. I havn't bothered forwarding the ports yet but I wonder if I would even be able to get into the game if that was the problem? Sometimes I get in the game and the keyboard keys wont do anything but my mouse is able to move around and change things, then I freeze completely. Any feedback would be appreciate.
Note: I have no firewalls active except the permanent one that is used by my router. I don't have any antivirus running or spyware removal programs in the background while running Ryzom. I will try some other things while I wait for your feedback.
