Ryzom

I recently downloaded Ryzom, and the launcher patched just fine, then said that it had to relaunch. Well, I clicked "Click here to relaunch" and after the window the closed, the game never restarts. Reactivating launcher doesn't do anything either, since the step always ends there telling me to "Click here to relaunch."

After a patch, the game can take a bit to reload. So you must be patient.

However, we recently relocated our server farms, and some clients are not correcting themselves to the new location. Please seek out this thread:

A wait is fine, but surely and hour and thirty minutes is a little much? And so far it, from what I've read, it seems that my client is directed towards the proper server. I honestly don't know what's wrong, but for half a second while it checks the patched files, it says something about checksums not corresponding.

Yes, 1.5 hours is too long of a wait

If you have a router and/or firewall, please make sure *all* ports are open.

You can also add "crashcounter.nevrax.com" to your firewall/router's block list, and change the StartupHost to "su1.rzl01.gameforge.fr:40916"

I don't have any firewall running at all, as far as the router goes, I'm on a college campus so I don't have much control over the ports. I changed the start up host, but no beans

In your Ryzom program directory, try looking up these files and delete them:

during_release ,
exception_catched
nel_debug.dmp
report_failed
report_refused
report_sent
ryzom_started

(Note: You may not have them all)

Where is the program directory?

Default location:

C:\Program Files\Ryzom

Ah, well I don't have any of those.

The "checksums do not correspond" still flashes by for a few seconds.
