Error help.

I had to reformatt my computer yesterday and just reinstalled Ryzom. After installing, I bring up the launcher, goto login and it gives me an error, everytime. After restarting my computer, the router and modem, it still gives me the error. I checked the status of the servers tos ee if they were up, and the website said they were.

Anyways, I took a screenshot of the error. Hopefully someone knows what to do. I checked the website and couldn't find anything, but that could be a result of skimming.. anyways, thanks.

Tried all of that already.. not the issue :\

I had the same problem a while back, reinstalled, it worked. Can't seem to find an answer to the problem this time around. Thanks again, guys.

Later Atys, back to WoW I have to go, I suppose.

Are you sure you tried this?
tursas wrote:The cause may be that the client you have downloaded is still configured with the old host addresses after the server move.

In your Ryzom program folder (defaults to 'C:\Program Files\Ryzom' if I recall correctly), there is a file named: 'client_default.cfg'. Open this file with Notepad for example and press Ctrl+F to search for the string 'StartupHost', without the quotes. Verify/edit this line to read:

StartupHost = "rslogin.juk.shards.nevrax.com:40916";
This seems like the most likely solution.

By the way, I wasn't aware that as a trial I could post in the technical help forum. Sorry if it's off-topic here.

But yea, that was the first thing I tried before I came to the forums. I had alot of problems with other games doing that (private servers). Oh well. Thanks anyways guys.

The only other help I can provide is to recommend you come back to us after we get a new technical support team. But if you don't, here's hoping you have fun wherever you go.

Just trying, but... after the reinstall... did you disabled the Windows Firewall?

Good point, I had forgotten about that one!

You might have to disable the firewalls temporarily in order for the patcher to get information.

It's been disabled, I usually don't enable it. :\
