Like kissing an old lover good bye

It's been over 2 years. I joined Ryzom in beta in July of 2004. In September we went live. The Samsara was born.
It'a been 2.5ish years. There have been the ups and the downs, but through it all I've had some wonderful friends. There are people here that I will never forget. People who I've met from all over the world. People who I will continue to game with.
Through all the good and bad, now is the time for me to say good bye. After the travesty that was the IRC chat tonight, I really can't stay. Jolt has been there for us through the good and the bad, thick and thin. Without them it's like losing half of the community anyhow. Losing them is jsut the final straw for me.
With me the guild will be going also. The Samsara are moving on to somewhere more fitting to us and our playstyle. I'll let the others make their own good-bye posts if they want to. But for those that don't, let this stand as a good-bye for them also.
We were one of the oldest remaining guilds from back when the servers all got turned to retail live. We've always been here and always planned to be here when they switched the servers off. Over the last month many of us have begun playing less and less. Well before I lose my guild completely, I will transplant them to pastures anew where we can be happy again and feel the love for playing as we once did for Ryzom.
I'll miss you. 2.5 years is a long time to stay in love with a game. I will always hold this game dear.
I can't make a list of good-by people. It's just too long. To many friends to say fairwell to.
(If anyone wants to find me outside the game, then I'm on msn under the nick kostikad at hotmail.com but for the love of god, don't email me at that address if you want a response.)
