The Dios trek

From Senator Dios:

"My friends, my Trek is almost complete. We have won through from the Fyros city of Pyr and met with the King and Queen of the Matis in Yrkanis.

From there we fought our way through the deadly maze of Heretics Hovel and came finally into the sunlight of the Lakelands. Here I have rested and passed my message from Emperor Dexton on to Ailan, the Lady of Loria. Inspector Ulyros has been consulting with the Deputy Governor Rehn Kirran at the Tranquil Tryker Pub about how to transfer the Assassin of Stil Wyler from Pyr to Fairhaven.

Without the bravery, wisdom and strength of all of you helping and supporting each other, we would have never made it. We had some fine Homins helping us all by being our Pathfinders, among them Keiko, Ashjonakk, Sehraci, Karm, Pacaryl, Siobhan, Howudoin, Argil and Liloo.

Also there were many more heroic members of the escort group, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your help. Together we may have made a statement showing that all Homins can band together for a common goal. Moreover, along our way we left a huge trail of dead Kitin! Hopefully we sent that menace of all Hominkind a message that they will not forget.

When we drop our perceived differences and work for the good of all Atys, just look at what we can accomplish!

I only have one more task ahead of me now, delivering the letters to the Grand Sage Mabreka Cho in Zorai.

It is with this in mind that I again ask for your help for this last part of my journey, only a short distance but possibly the most perilous Trek of all, as we will need to travel a distance through the Prime Roots to reach Zorai lands.

All homins that wish to lend themselves to this mission are welcome to come forward and join me.

Meet me at the Stables in Fairhaven on Sunday the 28th Jan at 7pm GMT, 2pm EST on Arispotle, and at 11pm GMT, 6pm EST on Cho. From there we will once again enjoy a trip through the wilds of Atys.

I would now like to take this remaining space to thank each and every one of you that helped Ulyros and I on our journey through Atys.

Senator Dios made it safely to Fairhaven, and I am very proud that so many homins were willing to help in that quest. I am sure that the Senator would not have survived the trip without the help of each and everyone of you!

I was fortunate to be trusted by the Senator to act as rear-guard for the group, and as such it was my duty to make sure that we lost as few homins as possible on our journey through kitin-infested lands. And I can assure you all that it was NOT because I wanted to look at tryker-ladies behinds....

Nobody was left behind while lagging, even though we had a few incidents. I'd like to remember the ones we managed to rescue, and say a prayer for those we lost behind. Even when I tried my best, I could not save everyone from the jaws of the Kitin. But that is life on atys, may our brothers and sisters aid us in our mission to cleanse the face of atys from their evil existance.

I will not mention any names in my diary, so that I do not risk missing out on anyone who assisted me in my travels with the Senator. But I must tell you all one tale, and that is the tale of our rescue-mission to Hidden Source, matis.

We started out from Pyr, everyone was happy to get on the road, and nobody fell behind to begin with. Soon I realized certain people needed to run at a slower pace, so myself and my team slowed down to offer them a safe passage.

Once we reached the portal between Fyros and Matis however, we encountered issues. It seemed as if the portal itself was having a sleep-effect on certain players amongst our group, so that they simply stood there, looking into the portal, unable to move or speak. In the end, we were forced to move on, leaving three behind.

-----|timeline jump|------

After reaching Yrkanis with the Senator and Inspector Ulyros and the rest of the homins keeping them safe, I received word one of the players whom had been able to resist the spell put on her by the portal, and made it through the portal, and was now awaiting rescuing from Hidden Source karavan teleport. I quickly asked the Senator for permission to leave my position so that I could rescue one of our lost trek-members, and the Senator said I had 45 minutes before the group had to move on towards Tryker.

I asked for help in my new mission, and found a good group of people able to handle any hazards in Hidden Source, so we were soon well on our way with our rescue.

First, we didn't all have the ability to teleport ourselves to the same TP as where our missing trekker was located, so we had to meet up in between, almost dieing by an attack from a group of Kipuckas.

Once we headed south, we ran straight into a camp of bandits, due to the sleepy eyes of our pathfinder. A few of us survived and were able to ressurect out fallen members thus making it possible to keep trodding south.

At the border between HS and KoD we saw a named mob patrolling the area, and we had to circle around it, loosing precious time to rejoin the main group, resting their feet in yrkanis, shopping souvernirs and whatnot. All I remember thinking is that we had a long way still to go, and that we could not afford another timesink.

We encountered several near-wipes on our passage through the desert of HS, but in the end we were indeed able to rejoin the trek before it moved on towards Fairhaven in lakelands.

This may or may not have been known facts to the main group, but I felt like telling this tale, so you all appreciate the dedication of your fellow trekkers, those whom helped me recover the beloved homin stuck at HS karavan TP.

I would also like to take the oppertunity to apply for further service for our beloved Senator, should it be needed on the upcoming trek towards Zora.
Inspector Ulyros.

If accepted, I'm looking for strong homins to join my team, so that we are strong enough to fight off attacks in Prime Roots, if we should find ourselves stuck, waiting for a lost homin to get back to his/her senses. Feel free to contact Ashjonakk ingame through tells, as that is my characters name.

I dedicate my life to the Senator, and any who wishes to come with us on the trek.
