What does it take to post elsewhere?

I understand the logic of limiting where a person can put up a message...but what do I have to do to post to other forums besides the newcomer board?
Is it postcount, or do I have to subscribe?
(I really don't want to put up "let's inflate my post count" messages - I hate those.)

I think it might be that you have to register. I don't remember not being able to post on some forums back when I started though so I'm just guessing.

Register...that means sign on as a paying customer, right?
Okay, just as long as I understand what's going on...

When on a Free Trial you can post in most of the sections (here, Support, Saga, Ring, Guilds) except General, Bazaar and Feedback. As Ashling said, you have to be a paying subscriber to be able to post in all of them.

Thank you. I looked in the FAQ, but I couldn't find this information there - I suppose it's in that agreement that I click past every time I start up Saga of Ryzom.
