i'm not sure if there is a tech help forum - sorry if i missed it....

now to my problem - i can start game up fine , get to character select screen with no problem. once i choose charcter and try to play it goes to load screen and will stay there for up to 10 minutes. the one time i did get into game, the landscape loaded but nothing else and a please wait icon was present. it never went past this point.

- to head off some easy questions - i have plenty of computer power/vid card capability
- i checked the internet in another room and it was running smooth and fast...


if someone can help me out that would be excellent

Do you have a linksys router (or a router at all, really)? Theres a sticky in the tech forum that you might want to take a look at. The please wait icon is ussually a result of the router not being configured for Ryzom. The load time at the start could also be a result of router issues...

Jup, sounds to me like your router won´t let the Game through. For Landscape and everything is Clientbased so you see it. NPCs, MOBs and Players of course are Server based and if the Game can´t get Info about thier placement from the Server then you won´t see them.
