In a future patch we plan to modify the NPCs that teleport you from the starter island to the mainland.
More freedom will be given to the refugees of Silan. The Karavan communication officer and the Kami guide will offer to teleport them to the capital city of their race (as is now the case) but they will also teleport them to any of the 3 others capitals, even though they will not be as keen to do so. Yep, maybe the strong presence of neutrality due to the big Atys Rangers' camp somehow weakened the will of the Factions that live nearby.
The goal of this change is to stop any destruction of potential friendships formed on the Ruins of Silan, or indeed to end up having one's girlfriend on the other side of the planet...

I can see the reasoning behind it and from a players point of view I fully agree. Good idea indeed

yes and no.. i can see the logic behind it, but surely it will cause some issues with respawn points - Zoraïns starting in Matis, etc?
Better to encourage newbies to trek - then there is the advantage that they meet new people and the exisiting citizens of Atys. you could have event characters organising treks every weekend for example - i'm sure plenty of people would come and help if there were broadcast messages ingame..

Sounds good
Anything that makes the transition a little easier is welcome imo.

I would have to agree with rushin on this one. It could cause problems.
I have always found it fun reuniting Homins with their better half.

if you kami action is higher than karavan (as zorai has when starting), then they get exactly one respawn point which is 50m outside yrk.
i see no problem in here.

it's better to just let 2 friends start in same land than hoping they still be around when they get the trek (even when it is "just" few days later).

good idea, but how long they can keep it going ? a month maybe, then it starts feel boring (oh no, same trek again, yay!).
letting player decide where in mainland they want to teleported is long term.

this can still happen when ppl want to. they just pick different lands when leaving silan.

*very* good idea. The mainland is, per se, hard enough in first times; being far from your friends could make it even worst.

Interesant... maybe the first official approach about the "neutral" issue we are discussin in other threads?

As Xollox pointed out in the german thread the main problem is Fame.
Imagine a Tryker with +20 Karavan and -10 Kami starting in Zora...
Poor Guy, he´ll have a lot more trouble to get to some things then his blueskinned friends.
This Example is completely exchangable.
If this is realy done, then Fame should be reseted... will this follow?
I hope not.

Reset? I sudder to think of it, that fame grind was a loooong grind.

I think the teleport thing is a good idea mechanically, but it just doesn't seem right somehow. Like, it takes away from a race, discovering the rest of their race. A matisian should 'land' in Yrkanis with the rest of his/her race to discover they 'way' of the Matis, and then after a trek, one can discover other races and lands. I all just seems..wrong. Good game-mechanically, not so good any other way
