Was wondering if it was possible to transfer dappers or/and items across servers using ryzom ring, i know its not possible to transfer to cho, but have heard rumor that it is possible between the other servers? Anyone know? Any offical word about it?
Thanks in advance

i can see the point between cho and the other servers when it was first opened, but apart from that i cant, i like the idea of having a massive amount of people you can trade with.

One example I think was cited when they made the decision:
Take ServerA where the karavan have been pwned by the kami. They have no decent OPs and so no sups and no OP equipment, no crystals.
Then take ServerB where the opposite is true. The kara have everything and the kami have nothing.
A kara player from ServerA appeals to the karas on ServerB, "Help us!" hes says, "We have no equipment and are dying here!" The karas on ServerB think that they can't let a faithful soldier of Jena die needlessly, so they send over large amounts of crystals and OP mats and sups to help the karas on ServerA.
The kamis on ServerA now have two problems - they have to beat the karas from their server, and the stores of the karas on the other server. They then ask the kamis on ServerB if they'd like some help. Needless to say, the kamis from ServerB accept.
Basically, the servers become less distinct if everyone shares around and they all get the benefit of the other servers.
(Of course an alternative situation might be one server with allpowerful kamis and another where both sides are in stalemate. Someone on the allpowerful kami server gives lots of help to the kamis on the 2nd server, unbalances things, and then both servers have allpowerful kamis)
There was some other reasons too, but thats the one that comes to mind.

I dont think that would ever happen? There is never enough cats, even if one faction owned all the outposts, there would not be a situation where anyone could afford to pour materials and equipment across servers.
On the plus side it allows players to trade not only with the people on their server but every ryzom player therefore getting the best possible price. Its something i would like to know peoples opinions on, anyone fancy creating a poll?

imho, u should see shards as independent worlds and i dont see how 1 independent world can trade with another, both are different universes. Inter server trading makes no sense in my point of view. Not happy with the prices u get on ur own server (u only came up with the idea cuz u want better prices for ur goods) Go lvl another character on another server. U made a choice, live with it.

My goods? I dont craft, i have never sold an item i have made.
I just like the idea of being able to trade with everyone, it opens up loads more possibilities....

Its been polled before.
And I agree with sprite, the possibilities for "exploitation" are to numerous to count.
IMHO its good as it is.
