Just one question (regarding new owner)

Im very new to the game. Just started yesterday and ALREADY paid for my subscription ($14/month) and I havent even hit lv.20's yet....so, Im very intrested in the game.

Server stability seems good as of now. My main concern is will this continue?

Will the game continue to exist, will it continue to be HACKER FREE?

And will the servers continue to be of the same quality (as far as lag and being online all the time)?

Thank you.

The server hosting seems to be staying with Jolt I think?

If so, those things shouldnt change.

The server support and hosting comes from Jolt, a former contracted partner of Nevrax. Since Nevrax/Ryzom was bought+absorbed by Gameforge, they told us during the transition to the new company, this contract should continue till at least mid Janurary, when negociations for the contract to continue or, god forbid, be voided. If that happens, only Gameforge know's what they will have in store -- and that may yet be a mystery since this is their first full on massive 3D game (Not including their Korean one).

Hope that gave you some better insight!

The stability of the gameservers is vital for the success of the game. We will do everything to ensure and even improve it.
When it comes to servers, we are not that unknowing, we are running more than 600 servers in varios datacenters. Jolt has been doing a great job so far, negotiations will be opened soon.

There are only a few possible hacks fort his game and it asks alot of work to set em up and well those arent even hacks but more macros. Ive never seen any download ready to use hack for this game so dont worry about that

Ok. Thank you guys very much for the input.

Oh, and to answer one posters question:

I came from various MMORPGS and mmo's that I had to quit becuz of hack/exploit/bot; Fair play is a MUST for me. I'll play the crappiest game ever if it is 100% safe and all other great games are full of hackers.

But most recently: Silkroad (bots), Gunz (haxors), Phantasy Star Universe (hax + dupe exploit)

Bots or hacks, are as far as I know pretty much unknown around here.
A few minor things can be changed so that for example, you camere view changes a bit (further out, further in) but that´s no game maker or breaker, some makros can be done that may seem like botting, but those are all inside the bounds of the system and everyone can figure them out with a bit of trying, so they´re Ok.

Real "bots" could for example not be realy used with foraging, or crafting because both activities are subject to too many variables over time and over the actual task, so that a "Bot" could IMHO never realy be successfully implemented. You´d forage yourself to death and churn out crappy Craftables, so no use in botting.
Same is with hunting, a bot could not realy define the right mob to kill, so it´d sooner or later traget the wrong one and be killed. And it never could avoid aggro.

I´m happy so far that no known bots are here, those who tried and got caught, were banned for live as far as I know.
