well.. probably just me ;-) , but i would like to see matis hawker in fyros (for example) selling their goods in matis.

.. and that npc merchants take non-refundable fee from _final_ price (eliminates free storing and mat transfer wannabe exploit thats so common these days). you can still do it, but it would not be free.

Dont need anything new , just fix or fleshout what we already should have

Rites/Encyclopedia would be first on my list for that (we have 12 out of 100+ ? supposedly)

'Needed'
--------
1. More rites!
Rites by race, rites by faction (including neutral), rites by civilisation.
The lore has the Fyros being masters of fire and melee combat, some rites that give appropriate bonuses would be lovely. Similarly the other races all have their 'roles' and while Ryzom's openness is great it would be lovely to see some minor differentiation along the lore lines.

2. Alternative access to Outpost 'stuff'.
PvP is but one playstyle and whatever the arguments about intended/unintended and so forth it isn't one that was prevalent until outposts came along. Crystals (and to a lesser extent the other rewards) should be made available by other means and they shouldn't be devalued compared to OP output in any way, though they might be slower and more difficult to get out of it. Ring Rewards and whatever comes from the Kitin nest would be a good idea though there's a danger in tying them into things like the new bandit bosses that you're simply rewarding the same (acheiver) demographic as has the outposts.

3. RP props.
Ryzom has a great community for RP and fantastic lore, a wonderful tool in R2 all for providing for RPers but it's lacking in other areas. Clothing, drinks, food, day to day items and props of other kinds that could bring things to life a bit more and support, encourage and attract the RP community.

4. Ryzom Ring seperate hosting/rewards.
For R2 to really take off we need to be able to host our scenarios simultaneously or seperately (paying as was the original plan) otherwise people just aren't willing to sacrifice their playtime - most of the time - to host these scenarios. For it to take off and have the impact it deserves in the game (besides the Guide scenarios) we need to have access to hosting AND there needs to be some reward for participating in and creating/hosting these scenarios.

5. Dapper Sinks
RP props, clothing etc above would be nice but I also think that we need to try and support the economy by giving dapper value again. Personally I'd make the kami a bit less tolerant of digging and would introduce upkeep costs for Outposts, Apartments and Guildhalls, and stabling fees for mektoubs.

Wanted
-------
1. Restore neutral teleports to high end areas or create rites or Trytonist teleports to open up these areas. I'm all for making principled sacrifices but the neutral role has been marginalised of late and it'd be nice to get a little love and restore functionality and full access to gameplay for us.

2. Apartment/guildhall customisation.
The apartments I think could be done as a 'mini R2' using much of the same coding etc. Buy 'Apartment points' from the apartment caretaker and get access to 'apartment maps' which you can then fill with objects and so on similar to R2 scenarios. Your apartment code could be hosted on your machine as an R2 file since you're only going to get access to it while online anyway. This opens up hacking possibilities of course, but since it doesn't really matter with apartments I don't see people being a little dishonest there as tooooo much of an issue.

Guildhall customisation would be opening up those mysterious other teleport locations to somewhere and could act as a dapper sink.
Ideas...
a. Garden - (Just somewhere pretty to hang out for guild meetings, or it could grow flowers for stat boosting)
b. Trophy room - Boss heads or records? 'Collect them all!'
c. Crafting chamber - Increased focus regeneration and/or lessened fail chance while in this room.
d. Storeroom - Adds to the overall storage capacity of the guildhall and/or provides personal 'locker rooms' for guild members.

3. Invasions - with a point
Give us clashes with the kitin or other forces that can and do actually change the world if we win or lose. Put something at stake!

4. Meaningful Faction Vs Faction
As above, but PvP and not too often. This was the impression I originally got from Ryzom, that the faction Vs faction events, the PvP, would be rarer but more meaningful things that would actually have an impact on the world (like the temples).

Dreamed of
-----------
1. Balance - Things are out of whack, at least on Arispotle, I hear on Cho (albeit the other way) and different ways on the other servers. Whichever direction things have gone on an individual server there is a positive feedback loop in operation that causes a slight advantage to increasingly become a much larger advantage for the dominant side. There are currently no balancing mechanisms to prevent this.

2. Tryton/Neutral becoming more of a catch-all third faction. Call it 'The builders' or 'The anti-kitin', but quite a lot of us would love for there to be more of a role for the non-warring types amongst us. Teleports, rites, battles against the kitin and something like outposts or events to rebuild our civilisations like we're supposed to be doing.

Example - A big event to build up one of the outlying towns to grander status running over several days and resulting in more buildings/traders/stables depending on the result.

3. More of a third dimension
I want to dive. I want to run off the piers in Tryker and swim down to the bottom. I want to climb the cliffs and stand on top looking over the land below. I want to _fly_, I want to jump (but not bunnyhop - link it to stamina), I want to fall to my doom!

4. Water - Add water creatures and water mounts, or little boats. Swimming can get a bit tedious and if you could only fight in the water with certain weapons (1h ranged? Daggers? Pointy things?) that would give some of those underappreciated things a new role. Plus give us more materials. Maybe even underwater prospecting? Or clams and pearls?

5. Bring the world alive.
We have too many pointless NPCs milling around the cities causing lag and getting in the way. Lose some of them and give us task missions for things like escorting mektoub caravans across the desert or other little things that make the world seem a bit more alive.

Also it'd be nice to be able to access game lore from the website, in game somehow. NPCs with info on the creatures out there, or on the history of the world from their own or their factional viewpoint. They don't need to do anything else but dispense snippets of information it'd just help bring the world alive.

6. Those new Kami forms and Karavan marines from the E3 trailer - they'd be lovely.

7. New lands
Short term I'm against this (or an increase in the level cap) as we need to bring up our game population a bit first, or people will just get spread more thinly. Mid-long term though I'm curious about...
a) The deeper roots.
b) Swamps (We have swamp-like zones but not a swamp land, mangroves, new creatures and so on).
c) Tundra - What are the Atysian poles like?

8. GOO!
Goo creatures on the mainland! Goo spreading and needing to be pushed back! Goo corrupted homin! Goo! Goo! Goo!

9. New skills!
A hunting/Rogue type tree?
Sneaking skills, setting camps (campfire and tent, regen bonus to make solo hunting a little easier), getting more materials from creature bodies due to being better at skinning, compass predator/prey differentiation, something like that, only very basic and sketchy ideas, but they're there.

Alchemy was talked about long ago as well, the making of consumables. A use for quest items in something like this would be a good use of them perhaps.

Those are the two main ones I can think of.

---
I think that's about it, for now :P

Though some of the other original concepts being brought back in again such as the music-making bard ideas would be nice too.

I concur with this. It's still annoying, even with filtering. That or a more reasonable upper-limit on the mark-up percentage.

But rites with a purpose. Where they actually give somthing meaningful. ;)

Clothes just for the sake of clothes. Why should people constantly wear armor all day long? or the NPC's always walk around half naked.. (sorry been playing far too much Elder scrolls :p )

Also the ability to push the graphics cursors further (I.E more entities on screen etc)

EDIT: and pretty much everythihng from GrimJim's First post. But add:

Get the crafters are foragers involved in outposts! (please)
