Regarding the various "seed" NPCs in game, do the players know the full truth as to their purpose in game? ***Devs need not reply

I have no idea what you are talking about.
I've seen heaps of nuisance npc's in towns that lag me out badly but havent seen any seed merchants.
Maybe we get to plant our own forests?

I'm not 100% sure but I would have to guess theres something more to them then we could know right now.

They have a purpose yet to be revealed.
They will turn into sapling NPCs later on in the game.
Even later, they will become tree or shrub NPCs.
