Hello folks, I'm new and this game really caught me up so bad that I had 3 hours of play just after I downloaded it.

This is my second experience with a MMO (first one was Lineage 2 but it lacked very much the RPG part) and I'd really love to play with such a nice community.

I've been reading some boards here and there and I wanted to say that it's nice to read a post like the one of acridiel's, it explains well what you can achieve in this game from the mouth of an experienced player.

I just have a question Cho or Arispotle?
I really like to RP , so I don't know where to go...

See ya.

Welcome to Atys then :)

I can´t give you advice on Cho or Arispotle, sorry.
My Server´s the german one, Lenaon.

But I´m sure someone else will come along soon and answer your question.

I suggest you visit the guild forums, there you will find listed the RP stance of all the known guilds on Arispotle and Cho.

RP can be sparse on Cho as there just aren't very many people, period. But it can be done if you have the dedication.

On Arispotle, however, there are plenty of guilds who are dedicated to full time RP. Some examples are the Order of the Dragonblades, the Samsara and House Etchmarc.

Besides this, you can start RP with people you see around, and chances are they'll at least play along even if they aren't full-time RPers.

Have fun and good luck!

Hi ahzrarn, welcome to Ryzom! I think otaku157 sumed the servers up well, Aripostle is much more established which would benefit finding roleplaying easier while Cho is easier to make an impact on.

Very well put, though one of the reasons Cho has very few RPers is because we were cut off from new players very early in the servers life. But with the new flow of fresh meat we should be able to start up some more RPing. Also, another good way to meet other RPers is to attend some special RP Ring scenerios, like, say, Firewine Springs? Not sure if you can use Ring on trial island though.

I bid you luck and welcome to the living planet!

I agree; We really have had a rough ride on Cho and RP is, because of this, relatively weak. There are only a few of us trying to build RP up on Cho - in fact I think that my guild, the Blackwater Buccaneers, is the only active high-RP guild on Cho at the moment. I do know, however, that there are a lot of other RPers (well, allowing for the currently tiny population) about on Cho (but that don't want to be pirates! Bah!) just waiting for an opportunity to get role-playing.

But, if you want organised RP today, not soon, then I'd have to admit that Arispotle is probably the place to get it. But for those that don't mind having to track, prospect and extract their own RP, then Cho could be a viable option...

It isn't trial island, it is newbie island. :D

If you are on a trial account then you can't join other peoples' Ring scenarios, but can edit and run (solo-only) your own adventures. If you are on the island but with a full account you have full access to the Ring, but can only join scenarios that are being hosted on the island, not those being hosted on the mainland. I'd assume that Zandryok would be hosting Firewine Springs from the mainland, but I'm sure he would host it on the island if there was call for it...?
