If I want to do a lot of melee dps (like a rogue in wow), what should I learn?

You need to lvl up to 50 first in melee then start the close combat tree or the one handed melee tree! ;) Hope that helps but the Dps will not be as much as 2 handed melee that is slower

If your looking at pure dps and not rogue ish style of weapon then one of the two handed trees is best.

yeah i just used rogue as an example from wow because they kill so fast. Basically I'm looking to kill things as quick as possible, I'm bored with tanking, and I'm not into ranged or magic.

As long i've readed (I've not tested myself), with the new update (Still not installed in production servers) two weapons make a big deal of damage (Attack a damn lot of times per minute), but I don't know if more than 2H sword. But are more roguish.

Im sure someone with a bit more time on their hands may be able to do the math..

But with 1H you can have a 1H sword and a dagger (im afriad atm you cant have a sword in each hand) with the new speeds that are currently in test (now 46 instead of 35) the amount of dmg you can do will rise.

So a sup axe hits for 28 (ish) a min at 1.5K (right? - its been a while) = 42K per min

even if a dagger hits for 200 and a sword for 700 (if sum1 wants to put more accurate figures pls correct) then thats 900. so 900 * 46 = 41400

So from these figures the difference in dmg is alot smaller. but then again i could be WAY off ;)

regards

But the simple "dps" isn't the whole story... if you hit more often but for less, you cause more interrupts so die more slowly :D

add the fact u can aim head for stun, aim hands(or arms) for disarm etc etc then it becomes alot more interetsing. there was a list somewhere..

Arms: Slow combat
Hands: Lower combat ability
Body: Stamina loss (about 1/2 physical damage)
Feet: Dodge
Legs: Slow Movement
Head: Stun

that one? :)

axe is ~1300 at 27 per min, 35100
two daggers is approx 300 + 150 at 60 per min, 27000
sword and dagger around 150 and 700 at 39 per min, 33150

not a huge amount in it considering how much those tekorn ones crit with daggers :|

is that what those 25 million different moves boil down to? cause if it is thanks I wasn't purchasing any because the list was endless and was busy trying to find some pattern :P
