Yeah I'm kind of displeased that its almost the 19th, and still absolutely nothing on a kind of extremely important topic.

Nope, unfortunatly, they seem to be waiting till the 19th (hopefully *crosses fingers*) as opposed to the 12th in their "12th-19th'' timeframe. I would probably be expecting news tommorrow though, as its unlike them to NOT post news when they say they will when they actually do give dates. I just hope that when they do, that its a little more definitive than last times news update.

AFAIK it is fully up to the judge at this point. No news means the judge has not spoken yet. Tuesday seems to be the deadline but "Gods may rain on us again" and be delayed a bit more...

That sentence just reminded me... What is Ms. Jessica Mulligan up to now?

Was intrigued by the post on your SOR Warcry site entitled 'Escaping the Isle'

They probably have some of those full access trial accounts left over or something, which would be the only way to get off the island atm. The question being if its even worth getting off the island at this point. For all we know tomorrow we could get news that "Yep, we're boned" and it's over.....or that they were bought by EA/SoE which would have a similar effect.

According to the info we have now, I would not say "we're boned, it's over" -- that seems to me more a personal decision --. For what I know, there _seem_ to be 2 potential outcomes (rumormill at its best): Gameforge or Ryzom.org. Continuity of the game seems to be a major goal for both companies. So "shutting down the shards and going Cold Turkey" seems unlikely at this very point.

If there are others, that I don't know. I am quite skeptical concerning EA/SoE

I think we should all stay a little optimistic. Admitidly I've not invested as much time as you guys in this particular game but let all keep our fingers crossed.

i would take SOE over jessica mulligan trying to help or advise on the ryzom takeover anyday, as much as i loathe SOE. this supposed fixer of games in trouble is nothing of the sort. this confused individual DOES NOT listen to the community and has stated on the ac 2 boards that he/she knows what the community needs, several months later after taking over and "doing what was needed" 200k folks left, ac2 folded, good job mr/ms mulligan. lots of interviews and white papers on the afore mentioned individual if anyone is curious. this is why i cringe when i see any posts anywhere with he/she(s) name or credentials involved in any capacity.

along with everyone else, we can only hope we get a company/individual that has less greed and more common sense and does not want to chop the game up and sell it off for profit.
