Recently i have been logging into Ryzom and i am missing my mouse on screen, makes game unplayable ofcourse so i have to log out using task manager. then it crashes.
Anyone have this problem, or better know what is wrong and how to fix it?
Btw im using same computer for nearly two years, and it works fine on every other program/game so i doubt it is my hardware. just seems last two weeks i have been having this problem on and off
please help

Do you run Ryzom full-screen and alt-tab to other programs while Ryzom is loading up? I've lost my mouse pointer many times when I alt-tabbed at the wrong moment, which I think is when it switches from the character select screen to the full-screen loader. It's not a problem in windowed mode, nor if you wait until the progress bar has ticked one or two little chunks on the loading screen.

i have been haveing the same problem since i have started but i`m not running no other programs or playing in windows mode or doing anything but playing ryzom it`s luck if the mouse works for me can try up to 3 -4 times before it works, the pointer mouse is there but soon has i move the mouse it vanishes.and latey the game has been freezing but only when i die and try to respawn and i`m getting massive lag peak`s ,i`m based in the uk and i never had lag when i first started.sometimes it`s enough put me off playing

DirectX or OpenGL mode? May be an irrelevant question, but...

Try pressing Shift-F9 if you have issues with you mouse. IIRC prior to me playing in windowed thats what i used to do to resolve any vanishing mouse i had.

when you respawn theres alot of info that has to be loaded (more so on the mainland than on the island??) i know that once i respawn (even on a very fast connection and even faster PC) i woudl have to wait 5-10 seconds before trying to run about the place. a good way to judge whats going on would be to bring up your connections window (shift-N for new players?) and wait for the download/upload/ping numbers to drop before running about. Its just about paitence. If you are still struggiling then i would suggest trying to talk direct to GM ingame or in
Klients
Best of luck

Ive had this problem as well, but ive worked around it so that im able to play Ryzom again. I posted this in another thread for someone else (and myself) who were having the same problem. But heres what you can try out.
Load Ryzom in windowed mode, with default graphics settings, Log in, select your character, then let it start to load. While its doing this, alt tab and open up a web browser, or switch to a chatbox from one of the various messenger programs. This is done so that ryzom is not the primary program opened, but in the background. Stay this way until its completely finished loading and you see your character in-game.
Once your in-game, right click with your mouse on Ryzom's window(not the blue bar at the top but somewhere on the screen, as if you were right clicking on something in-game), making you switch back to ryzom (making it the primary program opened again). Once you do this, your character should be in Free Look mode, merely right click or left click again, and your golden mouse curser should appear.
And at that point you should be able to alt tab back and forth without locking up as well.
Atleast, this is how i got around my mouse completely locking up (and also my keyboard on some occasions) So i log in every time like this. Hope it helps

Try using a program such as
memtest
