What exactly is a death penalty?
Do you lose some exp. points or something like that?

Consider having some negative xp. You won't get new xp to advance untill you clear that negative one. It can be cleared killing/digging/crafting, waiting only (very slow, over days) or buying a Ma Duk divine service or a Jena ... kiss from a kami ro kara tp. Most expensive service will clear like 700k dp in 12 hours approximatively.

anything that will earn you xp, will work off death penalty.

the value of your DP comes form your single highest attained level (multiple 250s have no further effect ).

DP can stack, up to 10 times (4.6 million for masters) and if you die more after that, it starts decreasing the amount you have payed off.

DP will dissipate naturally over time, or at an accelerated rate if you buy a service from the Kami or Karavan. these vary in price according to speed and your level.

The fastest way to remove DP is by earning max XP with your highest level skill.
