I would first like to start of by saying one thing. You all came off like a good bunch of people, that I can respect. At release I was very interested in what Minyatur had to offer as a group. After only a day had passed, I quickly lost interest in how your leaders represented the guild as a group.
I was denied acceptance into the guild, this I do not mind, to each his/her own, but when I spoke with a leader on why, the reply... I must reach a specific level of foraging before even considered a member. He said that their guild was built on honor, discipline, and dedication. Once I met the required forage level I would be admitted (even though all my other levels were very strong). But wait, are these posts stating that you all foraged the creatures to death or were weapons used...
I do not want to come off like I am "flaming" the post, I just want a few things answered. So let me say this before I begin. Cieran, you were one of the few who actually spoke with me about your guild, the leader very much ignored my /tells. So /salute Cieran High Officer.
"We seek all homins willing to lend their skills to our cause."
This is what you posted in your response above.
So why was I brushed off? Hmmm, fair question I think, last time I checked I was Homin, and was very willing to lend hand with the skills I had/was still working on. Ohhh wait, that is right, there were these "standards" that needed to be met by the guild... a certain foraging level first before I was accepted to the community. In game I spent about a day working on my foraging skills just to meet this requirement...then I come to find out that certain people in the guild, some who I know, others I do not were given invitations with lower levels than myself, in all categories. So, what happened to these "standards" that I did not fit? When confronted in game about why I was refused invitation to the guild, yet others lower than myself were accepted, I was given no solid reason, just a chuckle and then no more talk.
A day later I was accepted by a different guild, whom Minyatur even visits the forums of.
"We seek all homins willing to lend their skills to our cause." In my instance, this was not true, one biased/subjective decision was made and I was not accepted(too low foraging level). So I ask, what is it? Do you now hold true to your requirements? Is everyone genuinely accepted? Or do you still "hand pick" people regardless of skills? Honor? Discipline? Dedication? A lack of all three on how I was denied acceptance, and a lack of all three on a few I have seen that were accepted...
All I ask is that you hold true to your word, I have nothing against your guild, I support peace and cooperation. I enjoy the company of many within your guild on hunting parties/social foraging. I have even had many of you help me, when I am unable to find groups.
Please, do not let what happened to me, happen to another nice person looking for a group of people to have fun with. Especially when it makes the person feel they were denied invitation for unjust reasons, while others were accepted who did not meet requirements either. I guess I do have some hard feelings, it does not feel good to be dumped on when all I was trying to do was have fun and support other players.
"We seek all homins willing to lend their skills to our cause."
"I stand as one Homin who was not accepted to lend skills to their cause"
No hard feelings, I just wanted to speak my mind, so please do not feel this is posted in pure hatred. Please reply if you can answer this post and if I can answer any posts from this point forward I will.
