Does it look like this has been resolved?

Hate to add more crash DP to my crash DP trying to dig it off.

Still getting spikes Ryzom side. Anyone at all able to tell us what's going on and if there's an ETA on a fix tonight?

Normal crashes are not server side issues, they are allways client side issue. Usually client side crashes are related graphics card problems. Like bad drivers or not enough power supply to it.

If server would crash, then ALL players will crash/lost connection same time.

There can be also Internet connection related issues. When this happen induviduals or group of players in same "direction" can lose connection to server.

How often You crash?

was, as far as i know server crash. Klients and ryzom.com were unavailable at same time as game went pop to me and whole team, so can only assume everyone was affected as we are from all over the place.

Pipex was doing network maint/upgrades so total loss on connection happened for all the Pipex users. As far as i know this has been completed.

Actually, not last night, the server was running to my knowledge, pipex, who supply Jolt with network connectivity did a little maintenence during 'down time', which is outside business hours UK time, but I guess no one told them that the Internet is a just a wee bit global now :) .

Have spent a bit of time pondering myself how one does this 'properly', as what they did was fairly disruptive, all Jolt services I tried to contact disappeared from the net.

They may simply have had a booboo tho, so it may not have been incompetence. If one was going to replace a router, I'd think the normal method would be to install the new one FIRST, then remove the old, not just simply power down the old and flip on the new.... which is almost what it seemed like. The last North American hop I take to pipex's UK network was not there all of a sudden, nor were any alternative routes from the looks of what that Chicago based router was trying..

But, all in all, it was several periods of a few minutes loss of connectivity spanning maybe 45 minutes(?).
