Im not sure wether I should be posting about it or not, but the email nor website stated otherwise so here goes...! Souls can always delete if necessary.

Check your email inboxes people, I received an email late last night (uk time) regarding the 'free ryzom campagin' from a group of former nevrax employees looking for support.

Whats everyone think

Email inbox? in-game or out-game ^.^'

Cause I never recieved anything in my out-game ryzom email.

Out of game. Im just checking with them that I can post a contact email, as to be honest I would have thought that here would be the first place they'd advertise. Waiting on a response. Will keep u posted.

*scratches head* Somehow... I'd be willing to bet that somehow, this is a scam or ploy of some sort. Secretive emails with no official backing usually seem to be.

Though its hard to have official backing when there is nothing official to back you.

Souls do you know anything about this? As theyre asking for donations, so has the potential to be a very large scam. Id like to think its genuine though

for Ryzom...

You already know that Nevrax will enter the liquidation process at the
beginning of next month (the 5th). With a few others, we would like to
propose to buy Ryzom and put it under a Free Software license (code,
2D/3D data, LD, etc.), and make it a free project. Rather than writing
a long email, we have almost finished a website to explain the concept.
If you have comments or suggestions, do not hesitate to tell me!

What kind of support are the 'former' nevrax employees asking for?

SCAM! imho.

The WHOIS record confirms it's not a ploy.

It's very professional looking, and if its a scam theyve sure done their research, all sorts of old names popping up from the past. Just hope Souls can confirm, as im not giving a penny till i know for sure.
