So....with all of the talk about the "transition period" and rumors of buyouts, I thought that I'd open a thread for some fun. Let's get some idle speculation about possible mergers and what the result would be:

Disney buys them and they become a Mickey Mouse Company (to put them on even ground with Satan's Online Empire [SOE])

GM determines that online gaming improves supervisory and social skills and puts line employees onto Atys to learn to be 'Plant Managers'

Citibank's lending division buys them to be able to fill the world with in-game advertising. Mortgage applications can be obtained online by shaking the nearest tree leading people to start using the phrase 'Leaf me a Loan'

Beck buys them to promote thier music and the Saga is renamed SoR/Loser

Genealogy.com bought them. Their strategy is to contact former players and help them rediscover their roots.

this is one of the scenario i fear most...

had the great idea making a so called new game experience for ryzom.
Removing all skills to replace it with classes and character levels.
Making Ma-Duk and Jena a playable class.
Gives out quest loot whichs better as anything which can be crafted.
Which makes all crafting / digging useless.
Turning the combat system into a warmup/cooldown system with manually aiming (fps).
Replaces the jolt volunteers by only in-house CSR's giving resonse times of 4 hours if youre lucky with not clue about the game itself.

Greenpeace sees a potential opportunity to recruit activists and invades Atys with Kami followers. Nature guild then declares war on all outposts and wins them for the Kamists with a mass sit-in of tamed madakams and plods preventing the guards from turning up. Drills and bores are never seen again on Atys.
