I have not been a fan of forums. But because of the years I have spent here, and the community, I have tried to keep up with what is going on.

I would like to appologize for being naive in a guild member and such actions taken on this forum. It was brought to my attention today and I would like to say my piece.

Currently, I do not know who this person is. I have long been one to help others, even at the expense of my own time and money. I have spent over 2 years here and call it home. I am probably one of the fewest people to be here that long and have not gotten one skill to 250. I spend time helping new people to our home. Long have I taken the time to put others before my own self interests. And it saddens me to hear of such things concerning me and the guild.

I am Zorvax, guild leader of the Guardians of the Lost. I have made it my goal to build a guild that helps others. I am truely sorry to see such words come from a member of my guild. I am heartly sorry for those effected by what was said. I have been spoken to, of the things said here, and heard comments from guild members about this very topic, but I never authorized nor condoned anything about the guild attacking the community outpost. It goes against my better judgement and principals that I have spent years enforcing. I have met alot of people here, seen alot come and go, and some to return. Those that I have helped and that have helped me know what I say here to be true. I like a good war, keeps things in check. Maybe one day our guild might start one too. But I know for a fact that attacking an outpost that helps our community is not what our guild is about. I will stand and defend such a place, that is who I am and what I created this guild to be.


I do wish you do not judge the others of my "Family" by this too. I have a Matis brother that feels disturbed by someones comment about this guild and what was said on these forums. And he was refused a rez because of it. I have alot of good people with me, and they share the same views as I do. I don't want to lose freinds and family that I have made in these years. And I will do my best to make sure things like this do not happen again. We have a little website at guildportal.com, and wish you to see what we are about.


And if we ever do declare war, it will be for something the Karavan owns. LOL

I personally never held anything the person you are refering too said, against your guild, Even after I knew he was in it ... I believe in a peep to peep Judment rather then judge a whole guild on one person... However, there are alot of people that will quickly judge a whole guild on the actions of one, or very few.

It's nice that you posted this to clear it up for those people

Zorvax, that I'm sure was a difficult statement to make, but it was one of the finest posts I've seen on the forums lately.

It encapsulates what I find are the best things in Ryzom and its great to see a guild that implements them so well , Community, helpfulness, friendship, family.

Good luck with your guild and thank you for a post that restores my faith in the Ryzom community.

BTW, anyone that refuses a rez to someone unless they are in an all out war against them, is a dork.

Indeed Zorvax stepped up to the plate and cleared the air, and that is a strong indicator that GOL stands for a lot of the things that makes this community so great. I wish him the best and hope that this incident doesn't sour his gameplay experience.

As far as your opinion on resses, well lets just say I'm a dork then- for a few months I refused to res the majority of a guild (that shall remain nameless) after I saw them repeatedly engage in their favorite blood sport of ganking newbies and afk'ers.

LOL Red! I've rezzed quite a few of the "pure hearted" Kami even though they have been brainwashed by the evil kami. Just not if they're tagged. you gotta draw the line somewhere

Unless its open pvp season faction line takes a back seat to the fact that we are all homins in the res department But I cant say I'll res everyone, since I have in the past ignored the requests for rez when they come from people I know to be gankers.

Well it wasn't me, I don't have the skill to rez a level 1 player!

As such then I apologize to you and your guild as a whole for some of my choices of words. Any insult was intended to be towards the person in question not to the GotL.

Mayhaps we can discuss an alliegence in the future once the dust has settled from this recent debatical.
