Ryzom

Once I log in to the game (after character selection), I will depress the left mouse button to click-and-drag the game camera, and the UI will shut down. No buttons or keystrokes work, and the mouse cursor vanishes from the UI. I am still in-game, however, and can still view chat (of course, only in the channel it opened to), see NPCs and players ingame, hear sound, etc. The only problem is that I cannot do anything. Finally, this is a seemingly-random problem. Sometimes I log on, no problem, and I can safely go about the rest of my gaming. Sometimes I log on, controls seize up, and I have to alt-ctrl-delete out, restart Ryzom, and try all over again.
Is this a hardware problem? I've done a game data check, went fine. And as I say, it only happens some of the time. The only thing I can say for certain is that it only occurs on the first mouse action (or first movement action, thank goodness for a stand of trees in the path of the starting location or I would have been forced to watch as my character springed past Chiang out into the wilderness >.< )

could be a hardware problem..

but if ure more lucky its not, you have tried updating your vid card drivers and check the gfx mode is not set to auto, set it to D3D wand oGL, see what works better for you. Try turning off the graphics options in display advanced, lower the sliders, see if that does anything for you. Terminate un-needed background tasks.

or a hardware conflict maybe,
