How do you contact a moderator?

A thread of mine was deleted and I don't understand why, so I would like to be able to ask a moderator about it. How would I go about contacting one?

Ok, it's telling me that I have to change my profile so that I can send PMs, but I don't see any option anywhere on this board to do that. How do I do that?

In the forum jump drop down menu there's a user control panel, go there and you can edit your profile.
