I am just about to give up on this game! Have downloaded the installer a dozen or more times and stil i cant install the game.

I have downloaded the installer from just about every source i can find, no firewalls, no virus checkers.
Have used download managers (tried more than one, more than once)
Have used different Torrent clients again more than once.

If I see this message " CRC failed in Data11.cab " one more time I will not be responsible for my actions!!!! I mean come on guys even Anarchy can get a download to work!!

Why cant data11.cab be available for seperate download!! ffs help me here, am running out of hair.

Am gonna try this download ONE more time after that I give up and I will never be born on Atys !

PS I am certainly not a novice at file downloads but this has me beat, any suggestions?

I had this problem to, but all was not lost, although a little patience was needed .

Goto the directory you were installing to, you will see some files that have extracted there successfully. If you havent then extract data1.cab ( the smaller of the two ) with winrar to a directory.
Then run ryzom_recover.exe and it will download some bits and bobs.
Once thats complete run dlient_ryzom_rd.exe and click the check files button on the login screen.

All the files from data11.cab will then be downloaded individually depending what you need

I followed this method after a data11 error, and it seemed to work just fine. Downloaded lots of files, and then downloaded a few more, but now it doesn't work right.

Letting it sit at that final screen does nothing except max the first core of my cpu.

After looking at these strange screens, I decided to run ryz_recover again, and it looked just fine. Downloaded some 33.3ish megs of data, restarted, and now I'm stuck at where you see me now.

Go into your ryzom directory and run configure.bat,
Try the game in opengl, and then in direct3d modes instead of it being set to auto.
See if you have any success. It seems be a rendering problem.

no dice, same problems if I use opengl or direct3d, windowed or fullscreen, diffrent levels of details. I'm going to delete the entire directory and re-download all this stuff, see if that works.

No dice with the delete and reinstall either. If they would release one where the dada11 didn't fail a checksum, it wouldn't be so bad.

By running ryzom_recover and then starting the game and running check files your getting past the checksum problems anyway as files are redownloaded individually.

Your error looks more like a rendering issue, have you tried a different graphics driver?

I have the latest nvidia drivers avaliable, and it would be more than a pain to downgrade video drivers because of my config

You have the weirdest problem I've seen so far!

Have you checked into the Klients support chat ? (sticky on top of the page here somewhere) The people there are very helpful and might be able to give you some more direct help
