Rain + Animation

Can it rain any harder in the newbie island? Every 15 mins it rains, I have yet to enjoy a nice long stay under the sun.
Also, it would be very helpful that when maintaining link spells, it would be really nice to have an animation to go with it. I was scold several times by people saying that I'm just standing there doing nothing during a fight.
Will we be seeing more spells/stanzas in the future?

There is an animation with affliction spells.
Its a glowing ball above your head while the link is active. Casting a spell doesnt always connect the link, you need to keep casting until a link appears above your head, and stays there. When it disapears, cast again till it comes back, or mob is dead.
Dunno about the rain, doesnt seem to rain that much on me.

It's probably the rainy season.

If you go to the mainland and end up in the desert, you will see it rain much less. Now if you end up in the jungle, get used to it.

That's why it's a forest. Move to Fyros, much sunnier there.

You can also keep an eye on the text in your sys info window. Soon as you see something along the lines of "the link is broken" (can't remember exact words), cast another spell. Unlike the normal nuke and heal spells, you can't chain cast affliction spells. If you cast again while you have a link up, the link is broken.

Related to the rain : one thing is completely missing with the storm don't you think? Teh Thunder!
Really, that's something I have hard time to understand, if it was any other game I wouldn't even mind.. but here, with such beautiful ambient background, the thunder is really missing. Of course, when I asked the reason of such lack , ppl on the universal chat told me that it was due to the distance: the lightnings starting so far away from your location.
Well , let me tell you that as a complete noob and ex-L2 player, who started the game this Saturday: I do spend 90% of my time watching every details of the this game.. normal, since I really love it so far and guess what I did found?

Yeah: lightnings happens everywhere!
The conclusion of all this investigations: we need a nice thunder sound.. something similar that what was in Morrowind would fit perfectly, I remember sometimes jumping off my seat, surprised by its sound!
PS : Is the picture option disable in this forum? I can understand that row pict attachments can be a pain, but many ppl now post in thumbnails mode wich really pose no threat to a thread design.

Hmhm... I´m pretty sure that sometimes in a storm I hear thunderclaps...
And despite your suspicions they are there.
Wanna listen?
Took them right out the code.

I think maybe they get a bit drowned out in all the other ambient sounds.
And yes, pictures are disabled, appart from the
Pictures Section in this Forum.

Hum nice thanks,
Well, does anyone know if there a way for us to make it more "present" then, or even better if "they" could do it themselves?

You can tweak the number of sound that are playing parallel in the Game Configuration. Maybe you want to sit it to the maximum possible.

my only gripe with the sound is not being able to hear my footsteps when running... the game can be awefully quiet at times.

Actually I´m glad that this isn´t inGame.
In other Games it drove me nuts after a time.
The constant, monotonous *taptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptap*, GAAAAAHHH!
I had t turned off as soon as I found out how.

And on the plus sinde, you will be glad that you can hear that Kincher, or Vorax approach from behind and not hear your own footsteps.
