im new and if i may ask is that like a main city that we all meet up at or is there not much player on when im on sorry to ask but i found oley npc on the main land

This depends on what server you're on and what race you are. If you're on Cho, which is nearly a brand new server, you won't find many people in Zora... I don't know about the other capitol cities there.

On Arispotle, however, there should be people around somewhere, though not necessarily crowds. Atys is rather big, and the population is rather well spread out.

I think Yrkanis (matis) is one of the towns that have the most players in it, but even that might be a bit less on Cho... Not sure how busy it is there.

It also depends on your timezone.
Post it here and maybe we´ll find out why there are so few people around wehn you´re on

Are there daily or weekly scheduled downtimes? I haven't happened upon any so far. I don't know what timezone the "game" is on.

I'm on Arispotle but haven't left RoS yet.

I notice about every other time I log on, it goes through validating files, gets to 235 out of 236 and restarts the program. Are there little mini-patches over time or am I likely to have a corrupt file?

I kind of miss the flaming pumpkins already! (Started trial during the halloween event.)

No regular downtimes or maintenances. Until R² it ran for weeks with no downtime.

The file check after login is needed for the client to check whether it has to patch or not, no worries

Most scheduled patches are on Thursday morning.

The validation is normal.

Welcome to Atys, coolspy!!! Oops, I didn't mean to ignore you. There are plenty of EST folks around. The Tryker and Matis starter cities are always hopping in EST evenings. I'm not as sure about the others. I hope that you enjoy this rootball.
