Lost in the mainland

Post by bmo2112 »

After some time at silan, I arrived 2 days ago at the mainland. Kitin invasion, very aggressive gingos and no place to dig fiber around!! How can I survive in the mainland? I left silan in ranger armor with the fighter's quest sword. The herbivores around the matis majestic garden give no xp, the gingos gang up on me and have lots of special attacks (blind, slow, stun). I can't leave majestic gardens and my advancement has slowed considerably. Any tips on how to things by the vets? I am kinda tired of digging amber... hehehehe

The carnivores in Majestic Garden are legendary... you didn't mention your levels, just your gear. Those gingo's will be your best XP (along with Kipee, but they stun often as well), use taunt and caution and soon you will be looking for them.

Oh, I left silan with most lvls in my 30's, but defensive magic and ranged fight were in their 20's. I didn't buy taunt or caution in Silan, never had any need for them in that island. The areas had clear levels. The farther from town, the higher the lvl of the creatures. In majestic gardens everything is mixed. I have prospection for up to fine materials, and around this newbie area of the mainland all materials seem to be choice materials, and I don't know how to prospect for choice materials...
It's hard to team too, I try but the lvl 30 ppl never show up. Is everybody leaving silan on lvl 50? Did I leave too soon?

Personally I feel lvl 50 is too late too leave. Results in people like younot having a team ;)

Please send a note, /tell sehraci, anytime you're in game and I can drop some advice :)

Apart from the joy of exploration there is no immediate need to leave Majestic Garden in my opinion. MG is good for QL50 mats and some fun mobs to fight too.

And I agree with Doubletap, the gingos around Yrkanis are really scary. I felt trapped inside town when I arrived. When you learn to kill them they're quite rewarding.

Psst! You can't buy caution ;)

A good guild can help you out a lot. See if you can find one that matches your play style and interests in the guild forum and contact the listed representative.

Cloudy, I guess I need to learn some caution, because I never see the gingos coming, hehehehehe :) (I really thought there was a skill called caution :D )

Serahci, thanks for offering help, hope to see you ingame.

I want to explore the game a bit more before joining a guild, but eventually I will.
Thx for all the answers ppl.

Haha. There is a skill called caution, but its a player skill, not a character one ;)

I remember the doggies near Yrkanis when I first came there. Such a shock for a tryker, annoying mobs and no water to flee to!

Yeah, took me some time and exploring too, to find out the safe ways around the Ragus and Gingos there. *nods sagely and grins*

But there are at least three different ways from our beautyful capital without getting any of your clothes so much as scratechd by these pests.
Or make that four, the last one will get you smeared with their blood though. ;) :D

Keep exploring, keep trying, don´t give up.
You´ll be so proud of yourself the moment you find your first safe route out of town, or you first avoid getting eaten by simple stealth and patience. :)

Darn, I finally found Caution 1, now I need Stealth 1 and Patience 1? Gah. :p

Aside, can you flee to water? Do critters swim after you?
