loot-based titles? uhm... suggestions?

All,
First, I commend Nevrax for the event and the title-based rewards. I am personally enjoying them myself, and globally I send my kudos to Nevrax and CSRs as stated in other, related posts. However, there may be some aspects worth mentioning, which seem to stir up a bid of bad mood.
The title-based rewards are, imho, a satisfactory means of rewarding players involved in the event. And, naturally, it is a reward we all want: if there are titles available and they have that "cool factor", it seems logical that they are a noble and funny goal for everyone. Second, we do not really know how long the event / the exterminators are going to stay in game (eventually, if they stay in game long enough so everybody can get their titles and rewards, even the titles that raise some concerns as stated below, then scratch this post... the system can provide "content" for a few weeks, and will allow an equitable reward to all), but I assume they will be in game as long as the invasion goes, so the time window to get a reward is limited. Possibly it may also be a one-time event.
Although the reward-system for the "regular" rewards (Kitin Hunter and similar, based on a gather-as-many-as-possible approach) does seem appropriate in general, I do have some concerns regarding the "extra", "bossbased" titles (by killing exterminator kitins and the so called Guardian titles), and specially the way the can be attained. Although I am not complaining personally - till now, players have managed to do as they could given the mechanics - but I do think that the current loot-based reward, given the effort it takes and the way the system rewards players has some room for improvement.
Bad points (imho) about the actual system:
* You need to be there when the big hunt goes, with the drawbacks of different timezones. They seem to pop every 4h and it is obvious tha twe are all in "camping" mode.
* Regular quarter rights apply when there is clearly no intention to kill steal, but a coordinated cooperative effort.
* As long as the number of dropped items is lower than the number of participating players, there is no completely satisfactory way to please everyone. Personally I think the system is bad (by guild, by player, by damage, ....o.O).
* Finally, I think it favors camping, greed and bad feelings (just look at the auction). Luckily, there seem to be enough players willing to rinse and repeat as many times as needed so most can benefit from.
* it stresses the poor player that volunteers to share the loot (winks at Z), which may feel like a target for public mobbing...
This threads aims at getting suggestions on how to improve this:
- Do as the Kami / Karavan champion titles. There is a NPC that rewards those who participated in it. Make it in a special location, so by "being there" it can be considered as participating.
- Revamp the quarter system. Do not cumulate damage per team to decide which team has the quarter rights, but keep a list of players that caused damage or healed (as much as the xp system is computed), automatically reward players.
- Leave the carcass like 10 minutes with (open quarter rights) so players can loot themselves.
- Dump a load of mats so all attending players do get a share.
Other suggestions? (of course, you may be happy with the system as it is now, feel free to comment, maybe I am missing something, a point or advantage as the system is now, or it is simply "working as intended")
